Beachy Head-1

by fritzthedog

Back to my usual style to end the weekend!

Beachy head 2 weeks ago - winds blowing at over 80mph. You could barely stand up on the cliff top

Great photo - this could easily be in a travel mag!
The sea & the sky are such a lovely blue...more Maldives than Beachy Head!
(Usually one gets a shade of murky brown while shooting the sea!

I have to confess that the sea was much browner than this in reality. To make this more appealing I boosted the blue and aqua saturation and de-saturated the yellow colour channel in LR3. This had the knock-on effect of making the sky more South Med than Sussex. I was going to tone it down but actually I quite liked the idea of giving Beach Head a face lift

That is so dramatic Carl. I wonder if it would be better without the three OOF birds bottom centre?

Those birds must be very oof David - they are actually wild grass stalks

..and actually you have a valid point - it was late last night when I did this one - will revisit and remove the birds lol

Great work and yes I prefer Beach Head to look like that.
