Great link with the old boat in the foreground. I drove over that bridge last summer.
Best wishes,

Andrew

Thanks for the comments, just wished I had some ND grads on me...my next step in the world of landscape photography!
If anyone has any ideas in a cheap alternative to Lee's - I would be very appreciated to hear!

Hitech ND grads is a "cheaper" alternative to Lee, the well known landscape photograper Ian Cameron, for instance, uses Hitech. Kood is a lot cheaper than Lee, and some tests I have read find the Kood ND grads quite good (for the price). I myself have recently started investing into Lee filters, and currently I only have the 0.6 ND grad hard edge, planning to expand my collection in time. The 0.6 is very useful for most light conditions, and there is a learning curve to ND grads IMHO, so starting with only one makes sense for me.

The framing and angles included are very good. That name on the side of the boat is a little treasure of inclusion.

Thank you, that seems like great advice to me - think I will go with the 0.6 Lee hard to begin with.

Thank you, I was concentrating so hard on the composition I neglected to see the name - that was a bonus inclusion as you said! So easy to miss the the little (important)details when distracted by the whole composition - something for me to remember next time.
Thanks again
Carl
