Badshahi mosque, Lahore, Pakistan

by NaimKhan

Hi guys. I have been away from the forum for a couple of weeks, enjoying holiday in my native Pakistan, where I did a fair bit of photography.
This shot is of Badshahi Mosque, which until 1986 was the biggest in the world, accommodating about 100,000 people. It was built during the Mughal Empire and completed in 1673.
More to follow.

Lovely picture of some wonderful architecture. Amazing to think of the number of people who lived in it, shame the top of the nearest column/minaret is cut off.
Great simplicity is only won by an intense moment or by years of intelligent effort. T.S Eliot
