Away from home

Former County Durham NCB colliery engine No. 29 now belongs to the North Yorkshire Moors steam railway. But here it is back in County Durham on loan to the Tanfield Railway. The wide-ranging network of British heritage railways which has preserved and restored hundreds of historical locomotives often stages exchanges with other lines.
