Headaches... This particular blockhouse is in what was the St. Nazaire pocket where the Germans held out and surrendered (I think) three days after the fall of Berlin and the official capitulation. The allies rightly considered it of no use to waste men and matériel on what no longer posed any real threat. It is now a museum.
