Aston Martin Vantage

A longstanding client took me out a couple of years ago in his new Vantage (clearly not charging him enough!) and whilst normally he frightens me to death with his driving, in this car oddly I felt completely at ease. A curious sensation, like time slowed down - we flew past everything so effortlessly everything else on the road appeared to be in slow motion. And the deferential treatment from other drivers when they saw us in their rear view mirror, everything pulled over like the parting of the Red Sea. Except one Range Rover which made a feeble attempt to outpace us before being dismissively left behind. And then he pressed the sport mode switch, thank goodness for the dual ceramic discs! But then reality struck home at the filling station - I have never before seen the price go into three figures!
