Argh!! A blue/green cast was there (not just an artifact of poor color balance), but I removed it in SilyPix because it does look odd if you weren't there. Yet when viewed in Firefox3 the color is awful. (can only imagine what would have been if I left it unadjusted!!)
Saved for sRGB and embedded ICC profile. WTF?!?!

I cannot re-post a fix so take it for what its worth. Argh!!!
This whole color management thing is just evil!!

What an interesting bug. It is nicely captured but I think the bug gets a little lost with the similar colour background and some of its potential impact is lost. [I saw your note about the issues with the colour cast and sympathise].

Iím not sure what the bug is climbing. To me the white is a little dominating. The eye is definitely drawn to the bug but the rest of the image does not really work for me.

However this image has lots of space for icons although there is not much to peek around the edge of open windows for hints/reminders. If this bug is a friend then I guess you would be happy to use this image as a backdrop.
