Abandoned 4WD

Gallery almost-snap. Saw VividArt's post and couldn't resist... Came across this on Sandwich Bay at low tide a couple of years ago... no idea if it's still there.

Hi,
well observed and shot!
PS. Such people, we are not? It is us, not happening? We know the culture and nature preserve?

I like, but wonder at the story behind it?

Tried to find out, Andrew, but to no avail... Sandwich is a very wide and flat beach though... And it's private... And at low tide, difficult to tell where the sand ends and the mud begins... So quite possible that someone took this out for a spin and got stuck, and didn't have time to recover it before the tide came in... That'd be my starter for ten at any rate...

After your reply it brought to mind the fools who still get caught out by the tide at various places. The causeway to Holy Island for example.

This is really cool. Love the whole shot - it's big.
But this will not be the fate of my 4x4!!! Mine can swim.
