Excellent guesses, but no. Tbh, it was a little mean of me, its ferrofluid.
It's a liquid with metal suspended within it.
This is how it reacts when a magnet comes close to it. To me its interesting but I'm not sure its something that I will be able to expand on much.
But then again maybe I will, 🤔🤔🤔
