Hi Guys
There are no rules as far as i am concerned! As Mac said the idea of this shot was to details on the sand on the seals nose! It may be a little over processed but personally i am happy with the shot!

Generally I don't look at titles, I think more sand would have made the focus of the shot more obvious. If you look at the photo without the title the subject isn't obvious.Hi mille

Photography is very subjective I think to improve you have to learn to take a little constructive critism. Sorry but I don't like the shot but that is just my opinion, if you like the shot that's all that matters really.
Feel free to criticise any of my photos I'm very thick skinned and hope I will learn from the critism.

Absolutely no problem Mille, criticism is far more than welcome, especially from a possible peer! Next time I take the photo I will attempt to put a little more sand on the now full grown pups nose.
