You know what is quite funny?

When someone choose between a D40 and a K100D, went for the D40 and is now annoyed that he can't get a cheap Macro lens with AF. They save some money in the beginning but really have their choice for lenses cut down quite badly. Someone really wanted a Tamron 90mm and was disappointed to find nothing with built in AF.

You can only warn them, if they make the wrong choice they have to live with it. £500 if he wants a compatible macro lens

It must really suck to be learning impaired...

you can lead a horse to water.......

and of course on a K100 that lens would not only have AF but also SR.

Well the only Macro lens with AF he could get does have IS built in. Still, he would have saved more in the long run and had a more capable camera overall.
