Yesterday in the Sun

Yesterday I gained permission to go on to some private land to play!

I had camera kit and a Maksutov Cassegrain Telescope with me.

These are the daylight shots with camera gear. Mainly using the two plastic fantastic lenses...






















These are the astro shots. The star shots were taken with a Sigma 20mm f1.8 and a Pentax DA 50mm f1.8. The moon shot was taken witha Sky-Watcher Skymax 127 Maksutov Cassegrain Telescope (1500mm f11.8 ) with a K3 attached to it with a T Ring, this contiained a neodynium filter. 20 exposures at 1/50th.

Nowt wrong with these pictures - very nice! The first night shot - I love the backlight ( light pollution? ) illuminating the treeline. The moon is much sharper than my shot but so it should be thanks for sharing these excellent shots, enjoyed them.

But....

To be fair, the moon one was shot thru a 1500mm focal length telescope!!

The first astro image is a stack and a multi exposure composite. I shot 10 images at 30 second exposures in multi exposure to create the for ground image. So it is a mix of the embers of day light on low cloud with some light pollution thrown in. I then shot 40 exposures at 10 seconds, with a 2 second gap using the in camera intervalometer.

Then the star images were stacked in Sequator. Then all images were processed and blended in PS.

Similar process on the second astro image but no foreground image.
