Went for a drive in to North Wales yesterday... with all my filters and a tripod!

Lovely tones in the first image. The second has a more abstract feel (I thought it was a beach shot at first glance).
All the gear with no idea

Filters and tripod used to perfection.

How do you get down to that side of the pier?

The second one is lovely. I prefer the gallery one to the first.
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass

Both are lovely but, it's the second shot that really dings my dong! Just one thing, it might be my eyes but, is the horizon on the second image slightly on lean?

Both very good images. As above, great use of filters.

Best regards

I levelled it using the in camera guide.... maybe it's because I am using an ultra wide angle, and the composition combine to make it skewed????

Thank you all for the kind comments

And another kind comment from me, too. The second is my favourite because it hints at rather than showing everything up front.

Frought with danger - what price did you have to pay to get them to help you up afterwards??

I can't choose between them (not that I have to!) - each has it's own unique look and feel, the one thing that unites them is their sheer quality
