Had a run up to the WWT at Washington today.

All with 645Z and SMC Pentax-FA 645 400mm F5.6 ED [IF], hand held.

Worth the trip as lunch at the nearby Teal Farm pub was excellent.

Excellent photos, a tribute to both the equipment and the photographer. The flamingo portrait (6th) and flamingo walking (8th) are the standout ones for me. Perhaps crop the latter at the LH side to remove the rear end of the other bird?

Surely worth the trip even if lunch had been just a couple of hastily made sandwiches in a sandwich box.

Excellent set of images.
I do like the SMC Pentax-FA 645 400mm F5.6 ED [IF] and you have put it to brilliant use!

Lovely bokeh round the bullfinches.
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass
