Anyone have one they no longer need, now becoming hard to find.

You can try the Tamron 18-250. When I bought my K20D I bought it together with the Pentax 18-250 but was not satisfied due to a too loose Zoom ring. The experts at Photo Walther told me, that the Tamron 18-250 and Pentax 18-250 are actually both from Tamron (not sure, if this true but I use the Tamron since 5 years, made more then 30.000 pictures with it - the optical quality is not perfect (no surprise) but it is still very good. However- the zoomring is now also rather loose

Thnaks, yes the Pentax and Tamron are basically the same lens but finding one is not easy.
I have never understood why Pentax discontinued it or did nor replace it. With shake reduction bodies it makes for a great travle/one lens solution.

Pentax discontinued it because Tamron did. They had little choice in the matter I suspect.

A real shame Tamron won't produce the 18-270 for Pentax cameras.

There's one on ebay at the mo.

You'd have to take a chance on Romania postage though ...

Many thanks for the help given, but the Tamron has dust and whilst its not an issue that could change. There is a Pentax one on eBay but is unboxed with no hood, am prepared to wait but aware that it may be a long wait.If anyone does see one anywhere I would appreciate a heads up.

If you're still looking, I have a Sigma 18-250mm f3.5-6.3 DC MACRO OS HSM purchased in 11/10 with original box, accessories and paperwork on offer for, say, $350 plus postage from New York.

You really need to start a new thread for that AirBoss, with full details and some pictures. I doubt that anyone will send $350 after one posting without a bit more to go on.

Welcome but please give a bit more for potential buyers.
Best regards, John
