Sorry Lenny, afraid he bought it today.
I had both L converters back from when I had my A* 300mm 2.8 and they did work very well with it, I couldn't try the WR converter as it wasn't around at that time but they were certainly better than the 1.7x with the A*

I'd like to see how well matched it is with the A*300/2.8 - have been trying it with the DA-WR 1.4 and that is stunning, so could the "matched" converter be even better?
