The Af240Z. Im sorry to say in my opinion, wasn't a very good flash unit. only working in program mode. No P-TTL. (Though this isntbthe end of the world.) Personally I would advise you to look at a more modern flash unit. Even by a third party manufacturer.

The quality of the AF240Z is not really the issue here, Stuart, but rather the fact that it does (did) do what I wanted.
BTW, it functions in Auto and Manual modes as well as Program, and I can live without P-TTL (I have managed to do it since the early '60s, after all).
I have nothing against 3rd-party manufactuer when it comes to flashes, and I am open to any suggestions (provided the have a low trigger voltage, of course)

This is not just a bump!
Working the 'net hard, I conclude that an AF280T might do me just as well, or a low-end Yongnuo.
Comments, or offers, will be appreciated.

I have a 280t in excellent condition looking for a new home. It is bigger than the 240 but better built and possibly more versatile. PM me if interested.
