I was going to get one of these, I just got back this morning from a week in NY, but both big photogrpahy shops in the city were closed for passover as they are owned/run by jews. It's a shame as B&H is the only place I know of that stocks it and they want over $50 for UK delivery.

PM weinelm replied.
Yes, Jonathan-Mac - I had a look at ordering one from B&H, but by the time you factor in carriage and excise duties etc. it bumps up the total cost to circa $150, which is just plain crazy.
But I'm sure there are other small padded bags with dividers available somewhere - maybe a a square configuration instead of the Pentax cylindrical shape, if you understand what I mean.

Thanks giofi (and bettyswolloks) - That looks just right, and as you say a reasonable price. I think it's definitely worth a try, and I'll more than likely order one tomorrow.

Yes please. Especially with regards to small primes like DA ltds and M-series.

Snap - I'd love to hear your thoughts on it. I have been looking for something similar as well. I'd love to know how compact it is for a set of Ltds. Tempted to buy one anyway.
You will only prise my 43Ltd from my cold, dead hands...

The outer padding looks sufficient, but the dividers don't look very effective in stopping the lenses from knocking together.

I agree about the dividers, but I think it will be easy enough to find something to slot between the lenses to stop them bumping and scratching. But anyway, I'll let you know what it's like when it arrives which will hopefully be tomorrow or Saturday.

I have just received mine this morning, and I'm not unhappy with it.
I have tried it with my DA15, DA40 & DA70 and a 1.4 teleconverter. They all fit in there quite comfortably, with a little room to spare - depending on the lenses possibly room for one more. If anything, the case is slightly too large for a really snug fit of the DA lenses, but the elasticated strap inside the case is attached with velcro and can be moved around to create a better fit for individual lenses.
The elasticated strap seems to protect the lenses well enough to stop them bumping into each other. I closed the case up with the 4 lenses in, and gave it the sort of turns and shakes you might expect while carrying it around and the lenses remained in place without bumping each other (obviously not an extensive test!).
I haven't used or handled any FA limited lenses which I believe are a little larger. That being so, I imagine they would fit in the case quite well.
Inside the lid is a netting style of pocket suitable for memory cards and other small items.
The base has a zippered pocket which will accommodate flat items such as memory cards, entrance tickets and similar (which I suspect in practice will never be used by most people).
The outside of the case has two velcro straps which could probably be used to go around the carrying strap of another bag, or possibly on a trouser belt.
It has a hand carrying handle, as well as a detachable shoulder strap.
Unfortunately it does have 'lensbaby' stitched in to the lid, but I can live with that.
To summarise, it seems to do the job quite well. The Pentax limited lens case does look better from the pictures I have seen, but it is considerably more expensive - even if you are in the US and buy directly from B&H (who are the only people I have found to sell them) - but more so when you add carriage, VAT & import duties.
For the price, I think it's well worth it and does the job perfectly adequately.

I got mine this morning too. As Percy's said really. I've taken a slightly different approach. I've loaded it up with 3 lens's DA 21,40 and 70 by adjusting the elasticated strap to fit very snuggly around one at either end and one in the middle. There is plenty of room for 4 but as I only have 3 at the moment that's all I can fit! I can see the webbing compartment being very useful for memory cards and the like.
One day you'll find, 10yrs have got behind you.

Do any of you have one of these for sale, or know of anything similar that would suit for easy storage and transport of several small lenses?
