Speaking personally, if I had the extra funds available I would go straight for a K3.....again
Having had both the K5 and the K5IIs and being very pleased with both the K3 just feels a couple of steps forward in evolution and operation, you will always want one so just as well to part with the extra now

Hi, I was going to get your advice on this one, as I noted you had just sold your K511s this month, it hasn't been an easy decision to make, but I have a set budget and I want to purchase the 20-40mm limited lens as well as a 50-135mm so it all boiled down to a toss of a coin.Speaking personally, if I had the extra funds available I would go straight for a K3.....again

I do tend to swap and change my cameras a bit, so I have given myself to the summer to make the move to the K3 as there is no rush for me at the moment. And hopefully by then the new prices would of fallen a bit by then.

Matt, what do you have at the moment? If you already have the K5, maybe it's worth just getting the glass, and save up the cash till you have enough, speculate on the body-market, then get a body later on when things are a bit more settled! After all, most of us, are probably limited by our own skills as opposed to the equipment, I certainly am!
I toyed with the idea of changing my K5 for a K5 IIs or a K3, but then decided that I just like it too much, and it does well for me, so why change it, I don't think I've used the camera to its full potential at all!

Nope, the wife has joined me in my hobby and she will be having my K5 hence the need for another body,

I found the upgrade from K-5 to K-5IIs bigger than I expected. Autofocus is significantly better (I'm sure K-3 will be another improvement) with focussing of some lenses (especially Tamron 17-50) more accurate, and there is a difference in image sharpness, with all the other qualities (dynamic range, noise, etc) just as good, as you'd expect from the K-5. I'd recommend it highly.
