I don't blame them! I have this lens and it is superb. I'd never sell it. I got mine after scouring ebay. They come up from time to time if you are prepared to look on a regular basis.

There was one in Italy, sold for a very reasonable price a few days ago. They do come up frequently on ebay but prices seem to be rising for these and for other K's.

I picked up the M version in excellent condition on ebay a few days ago for £29.80 so its just a matter of keeping your eyes open and being lucky

That's a good price for an M28mm f3.5, that's normally around the price of the cheaper f2.8. The K28mm f3.5 seems to go for £70-£100 at the mo'.

And (unfortunately), my friend know the high quality of this prime and its value.

The K version is better than the M version. Not sharper, but better in other qualities. Good luck with your search.
