WTB: K200D

I am looking for a good clean, low shutter count, K200D, preferably with the 18-55mm WR. The sensor must be clean with no dust spots showing at small apertures, and the body/optic and LCD screen free from scratches, scuffs, or damage.

I've got a K200D that I'm looking to move on, it has the 18-55mm kit lens, the shutter count is 7693 and it is very clean and tidy. Would you be interested?

Sorry, I should have updated this, K200D no longer required,I have decided to return to the Fuji X-system.
Many thanks and best wishes for 2016

Back in the hunt for a good clean K200D, if anyone has a spare unused one lying about or is looking to upgrade, would prefer boxed, low shutter count and 18-55mm WR if poss

Anyone got a clean one ?

Just to point out that the WR version of the 18-55mm lens came with cameras released after the K200D so it would be normal to find the updated non WR (AL II) version with that body. Optically there's nothing to choose.

Thank you for clearing up a question I had in my mind as I remember purchasing my first K200d which indeed had the 18-55 AL II lens. I must have replaced it with the WR version to give added protection but did not observe any improvement in IQ.
I am very surprised at how hard used K200D's are to find.

I have a K200D with a split-prism Katzeye fitted so it's great for manual focus. I need to get around to selling it.

By a strange coincidence, I saw one for sale in the Gloucester Branch of LondonCamera Exchange on Saturday. I'm afraid I don't remember the price, but I'm sure you could get the phone number for the store from the company's website.

Hmmm, have been looking at LCE secondhand on an almost daily basis and the site is continually updated. Many thanks for this though and I will contact the branch and let you know.

I have a K20d in pristine condition for sale now on ebay if that is of interest.

It is listed with a grip but could be split.
Please send a pm if interested

Many thanks for the offer and I think I saw your K20D with grip on Ebay, however I want the K200D for use in good light because I love the CCD sensor.

Thanks to Steve F 's post above it looks like my search of many months may be over as I have spoken to LCE Gloucester and they are going to confirm the sensor is clean and hopefully I will be able to buy it.

These are very rare: I don't think they made them for long. Maybe one of the last Pentax DSLRs with a CCD sensor, which I also love ( I use a K10).

I may be wrong, but I always felt the move to CMOS sensors was partly to accommodate video which, ironically, hardly anyone uses. I often wonder how good cameras with CCD sensors would be now, had they been developed in the way that CMOS ones have. We'll never know.

I'm glad you were able to find a K200D and hope you enjoy using it
Best wishes,

You might also want to consider a K-m as that has the same CCD 10mp sensor as the K10D and K200D. It was the second Pentax DSLR I ever owned and took beautiful landscape images. It has the same body as the K-x, i.e. very compact and easy to use.
