I don't know a thing about lenses, could someone tell me if this is worth a darn?

it's a cheap video adaptor.
don't expect anything better than Holga for image quality.
you can find those for a buck, at a thrift/second hand store, or grab a one dollar magnifying glass from a dollar store....or a broken pop bottle from the trash for free.....

a good quality video adapter (tele, wide or fisheye) will cost as much as the pentax 10-17mm fisheye lens...

trust me..I've tried all the above...

Will it be any good optically? As Don says, probably not.

Will it be fun? Yeah, could be! A picture doesn't have to be technically perfect to be enjoyable - otherwise people wouldn't use pin-holes, Lensbabies, Lomos, etc...

you are right hefty1.
but at thirty bucks?
people should remember, thet even a high def vid cam will ring in with a three megapixel sensor (forget ten mp stills they're interpolated), so a high def video cam lens (pro quality) only needs half the resolution of a kit lens for a six mp dslr.... a lens built to a price point, for a standard def camcorder ain't even gonna come close to decent camcorders resolution, never mind a Pentax lens.
