workusing a supak auto zoom 3400 flash - iam having trouble

Help please someone i have a second hand sunpak Autozoom 3400 and am trying to get it to work with a 1975 spotmatc F.If i use the test button on the flash it works if i cross the connection that goes to the camera it flashes but when it is plugged into the camera it wont work??????????? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Have you tried a different flash connected to the Spotmatic? It could be the plug in the camera that's faulty. If you don't have another flash take the camera to your local camera shop and ask them to try it with one of theirs. Instruction books for most flashguns can be obtained from OldTimer cameras (please mention www.pentaxuser.co.uk).
