Found these? and was wondering if anyone has/used them?

If not, does anyone know another way to achieve truly full wireless
P-ttl/HSS flash with out a lead?
One day you'll find, 10yrs have got behind you.

My first observation is, how can this device achieve TTL compatibility with anything . . . when it has only a centre pin? TTL needs at least 2 pins, possibly 3. Just look at the base of an early TTL capable Pentax flash, it'll have 3 pins.

Even if it can somehow do TTL, TTL is not P-TTL, which is what you need for all Pentax DSLR's except the *istD and *istDS/*istDS2. If it can do TTL, it'll work with your MZ-7 only.

I believe (but I'm not certain)Pocket Wizards can do true Pentax P-TTL, but they are horribly expensive.

EDIT: This page states that it is compatible with Pentax P-TTL.

EDIT 2: If the quality of their web site is mirrored in their products, I'd leave well alone until somebody else has had the initial disappointments that new gizmos often produce.

Pocket Wizards will not enable P-TTL, neither will Radio Poppers. Prior to to the above Aokatec product, there were no products that supported wireless P=TTL.

According to their website they can provide wireless P-TTL, although the High Speed Sync in manual mode is limited to below 2000 of a sec, still not bad though.

I would love to see these in operation and have a chance to test them out prior to parting with any money, but lets keep our fingers crossed and wait and see if there are any reviews about them!

You don't have any idea how it works, do you?

Just curious what you have against their web site (except that it does not pass html validation).

I do know that it can't possibly use the flash's electrical interface for TTL (P-TTL) control when it has only one pin on the transmitter.
From the information on the part of the web site that does work, it would seem that this device "reads" the light pulses from the flash and translates them into radio signals. The receiver then decodes the radio signals and translates them back to IR pulses, transmitted to the slave flash by an IR sender strapped to the light sensor in the body of the slave flash.

Seems all very Heath Robinson to me, but some of the best innovations started out that way. Interesting if it's reliable enough.

Most of the links in the menu either do nothing, or take you to a "Page not found" message, in Chinese.

Looks to me like the product and web site, are still in development.

I didn't have that problem about the links and menu.

Click on FAQ and Downloads under the Support option, they will take you to the shop. Click on Products, then the IR thingy at the bottom, Page not found in Chinese.

Explain what? Why I was laughing? Because I thought it was funny!
Or why its all good fun? Well it looks like your going to suck all the fun out of it, Heath Robinson style, so I'd like to retract that part of my post.

OK, it seems you have an alternative agenda here. Go try and annoy somebody else preferably on another forum, because I'm not biting, sorry.

I'm done trying to help you.

What part of "preferably on another forum" did you not understand?

Still not biting, sorry to disappoint you again.
