Your solitary figure captured in the BG makes this shot David - forlorn hopes under the circumstances!
Did you hold back the colour except for the reflection on the platform, or was it just as bleak as that everywhere else?

Yes I held the colour back, overall it was rather blue. The colour in the platform is a reflected station light which I kept a little of (of which I kept a little) although it is still toned down.

It's quite effective IMO David.

Very good one. As said before by i-Berg, the lonely figure at the end of the platform really brings the chaos and resignation in to it (why does he not stay under the station roof?).
Well done

Kind regards

It's nice to be nice!

I really, really like this!
The lone figure makes the shot and, IMHO, he is just the right distance away.

Or maybe he's too scared to. If its Durham stattion, couple of days ago the station had to be closed. They thought the roof was going to collapse under the weight of snow

Bleak outlook, total desaturation

Specially for Alan, a total desaturation. I prefer the bluish version of the first one, but perhaps without the colour on the station platform.
Thanks for all your comments.

There was a stadium somewhere in Europe in the last few years where that was precisely what happened, as I recall. So it may be a well-founded concern then.Or maybe he's too scared to. (Sorry David - OT I know .)
I prefer the original version FWIW.

By some margin the best snow photo I've seen recently. This actually makes me feel cold just looking at it. I usually prefer mono, but that blue tone adds to the bleakness. How important that lonely (optimistic) figure is.
Best wishes,
Andrew

Its true Stuey but I also enjoy photographing a wide range of other things too. Architecture, especially modern architecture, street photography, absstracts, events like the Goths at Whitby are just a few of the things I enjoy. In fact anything that makes an interesting picture.
