Today I went to see the windmill at Pitstone, near Tring in Hertfordshire, which others have shown here before. These are a few photos taken with the 35mm Ltd on a K-5IIS:

Good exposures there that bring out the intensity of the lighting and the rich blue sky. You've made the most of the sunlight striking the windmills surface, adding some warmth. Favourites for me are nos. 1 and 3 ... It would be nice to see some more wide shots from differing viewpoints. The diagonal of no. 3 works well, again the warmth of sunlight balancing the cool sky. Must have been a very nice day to walk out there!

Regarding no 2, good idea, but the effect is weakened I feel because you have left the end of the fin (?) visible in the top left corner.

Thank you for viewing and commenting, Nigel. It was a beautiful day yesterday, with intense sunlight and clear air. I see what you mean about number 2 - perhaps 10% should be cropped off the left side. You request some wide shots, so here are two 16:9 crops from the 3:2 images:

The hill beyond is Ivinghoe Beacon.

Those wide views are very good .... It's the sort of subject that benefits from being seen in its context, and a nice idea to have the back and front lighting examples.
