We're starting to see some great results from that new zoom, not the least yours here Neil. In the right hands it looks to be the solution that many have wanted for a long time, and it's custom made to shine on the K1!

Indeed, I might wear a few flecks of paint off it and it will be classed as in 'poor condition' Best keep it inside wrapped in bubble wrap just to be safe lol

Yes 2 off camera flashes, one on the end of a p-ttl cable, the other triggered by the Pentax flash wireless triggering, both just over 1m above the ground looking downwards

I was initially quite impressed in the first 48hrs, right up until my 'repaired' K-3 just completely died! Thankfully Dave C came to the rescue and has lent me his K-3 and I've had a couple of decent session with the lens. First with some of the London Park bird life:

And one of the main reasons for the purchase was focal length flexibility when stuck in one spot while photographing my local badgers, would not have been able to compose these shots on the 300mm

Quite impressed with the lens, just hope it doesn't break and I have to use Ricoh Pentax customer service for it!
