wide primes?

Hello

So just got a 50mm SMC_A which is great for its size on the K-m and already, when I get the focus right (which is hard at 1.7 unless the focus object is huge) I find the pictures sharper and slightly nice colours than my kit DA_L kit lenses.

Problem is, generally for inside the 50mm is a little too long.

Gutted that the Pentax 35mm macro shot up in price a while back when I could have considered it at the older price. Now money is a lot tighter, what primes are out there, old and new as long as they are auto aperture?

Have you ever looked at classified thread here on the forum, 39GBP including shipping doesn't sound bad

Check out whelmed's advert in the classifieds - looks like quite a little bargain to me.

Did you bought?
It seems quite a lot were interested in the end.
24mm is a quite useful focal length I believe at least it will most likely find a spot inside your bag.

Yep. Wish I could afford AF lenses but this is a nice cheap way of seeing whether fixed or zooms are for me before I make the commitment on a fast zoom or a good prime.

Congratulations then
I think AF is overrated a bit, a good MF lens is very pleasant to use and it slows you slightly down and you get more control over your focus. I wouldn't see it as a lost at least.
We of course are expecting some photos now
