Driving over the Wicklow gap yesterday, this was the view from the top of the Wicklow Mountains National Park
Very slight difference in the view point as I stopped about 100 yards down from each shot,
First outing with the Irix 15mm firefly

Well spotted Derek - great little set, and plenty of detail when seen at the larger size on Flickr

Just my opinion, but the last edit appeals more with the top third (the blue sky bit) removed - it makes more of a panorama and removes the clash of the bright blue against the warm glow of the scenery

I actually really like the first one - sort of 'as is'; maybe with a levels tweak. However I can see the appeal of the 'mad edit' as well

Cheers guys, the originals were just that, and pretty much as seen, I dont often go for mad edits, but something about this kind of appealed

I was thinking a little more brutal (to just above the line of the hills) but Yes - it's a Goodun

A very quick, as its literally just a last edits tab gave me these, 1 minute to edit 3 shots

I'm liking the dramatic edits, the natural ones are too moody for me!

I agree with Harris. There looks to be a lot of scope with these. They'd make great tourist brochure jobs.

All good, the last has impact but my favourite is the first image, great atmosphere.

Lovely moody images. The Mad Edit is a bit... mad for me, but plenty fun in its madness.

Thank you Derek. Some years ago I had extended family who lived in Newtownmountkennedy and consequently I spent a lot of time there. Sadly one by one they went to meet their maker, as is the want of us humankind. It is unlikely that I shall return now, too many ghosts I'm afraid. But never say never!

Best wishes.
