Why RAW?

The Pentax Photobrowser3 can convert from PEF to DNG

Ditto Daniel's comments regarding C1. They say "end of Q1" for the C1LE v4, and "end of Q2" for C1Pro v4. DNG is slated for inclusion in version 4... but as you say, Phase One seem pretty prompt at supporting new cameras

Just saw about ver. 4 when I was looking at the site, 300% increase in processing speed looks interesting . I've still got a free upgrade due for mine, so I might hang on for that (I'm on version 3.7.1).

You can upgrade to 3.7.5 without affecting your right to an upgrade Version 3 to 4 is an upgrade
Personally, I was looking at upgrading from 3LE to 4Pro
(Even 3Pro is faster than 3LE)

Sorry Barry jsut read you question. I have PSE 4 too and although I mostly shoot jpgs (too lazy to faff with RAW) I have used it for RAW conversion and it recognised the PEF files without any problem, so I can't help you with that one.

Ah I see others have come up with the reason

Adobe have just released Adobe DNG Converter and Camera Raw 3.6 Beta update which handles the K100D so I can use that to convert the PEFs. I works OK.
