The 70-200 range was very common with 35mm film but seems a funny length for APS-C. In terms of angle of view, the 50-135mm now fills that niche. I had always thought of the 16-50 and the 50-135 as being the dSLR equivalent of the 28-80 and 80-200 combo.

Why haven't Pentax come up with the 70-200 f2.8 lens .There you go simple as that ,right i'm off to work now ,hopefully someone can quench my curiosity .
