The question why, should not be in the context of that you cannot figure out why you rather like it.
It should be more like "I like this image, it IS brilliant"
It matters not what others think, you should only have to please yourself (unless you've been commissioned). I like the image.
Don't be so critical of your work, I used to be like that myself-but no more.

I think jemx99 has nailed it - the image is slightly soft, there's messy spider-web behind the berries and the leaves are a bit chewed, but the colour range makesup for it. I think.

Well, it's sharp, well exposed and colourful. This makes it easy on the eye.

Yes the leaves are chewed, there is a messy spider's web - it's called 'warts and all' and it only adds to this particular image. If it were sharp, the lovely pastel colours would have lost half their appeal. It's a good image!

It's not a brilliant image, but for some reason, I rather like it. I just can't figure out why!
The plant, by the way, is apparently a mahonia of some sort. According to a person of horticultural inclination on another forum.
