Hi Richard.
Great well exposed image.
I think I would crop the left to get rid of the dock lights. But that may upset the image balance ?.
Just being picky, great shot.
Take care.

Hi Richard,
the most remarkable part of this delightful scene is the colour range so late in the day. Shows the value of a fast lens AND having your camera with you at all times!
I would have liked to have seen the top of the mast but I think the dockside crane and lights add to the interest and help tell the story that it's late int he evening. Sometimes cropping too much makes for a balanced pic but loses story telling detail.

It was a stupidly tall mast and if I had stepped back enough to fit it in 2 things would of happened -1. there would be no water below the boat and 2. I would of stepped back so far i would of been in someone's lap in the open air restaurant behind me . It was a matter of deciding what looked best and I thought this was the best comprimise.

Great shot. Lovely lighting and scene. I agree about the compromise on the top of the mast. They are damn tall.
The 'dock lights' help make the shot. I can't understand why anyone would want to crop those out.
