Whitby Goths

Can't believe it is nearly here again - Goth weekend is 26th-30th April.

I will probably end up doing the Saturday and Sunday as usual

Anybody planning a get together?

I'm leaving it to the last minute. If the weather looks OK I should be there, but not if it's going to be overcast.

A bit off-putting...

To go by bus X20 or X21 to Newcastle then you need to get the GO North East X9 or X10 bus from Newcastle to Middlesbrough Bus Station then change on to the Arriva X5 or 93 to Whitby. The number 93 is quicker. There isn't a bus that goes all the way.

The X9/X10 starts from Eldon Square Bus Station but If you're at Newcastle Central Station it's better to take the Metro to Heworth Interchange and catch the X9/X10 there. The buses go every half hour.

Can you not go by train? I know some are direct or you can change at Darlington or Middlesborough. If you booked now it should be fairly cheap.

I don't think funds will stretch to a weekend this year I may have to make do with just the one day, so I'll wait and see what the weathers like.

Is that the funds for the hotel and travel or the funds for the wife's shopping when you're there?

What sort of state do you hope to be in by then Barry? Will you be running up and down the steps or confined to a bath chair?
