So around my 6th or 7th year of going to Whitby Goth. Different in several
ways for me but a very good one for me personally. Did a dedicated shoot with a
bunch of other togs and "models" away from the rugby scrum up at the church
and then a shoot with my lovely friend Debbie and a chap called Alvin.

Was nice to see our very own Fat spider and have a natter with him - good to see and chat to you sir .

Well it was St. Georges day, what's a girl to do but slay the dragon?

Wonderful stuff.

You took a different approach to the event that has produced some clean images (free from background crowds etc).

The third image is my pick as the lady looks relaxed and the setting is classic Whitby.

Great detail throughout.

Best regards

Yes, agree with 3 ... a beautifully balanced portrait in many ways (composition, placing of elements and light/contrast control). That Sheriff character in No 7 makes a good image too with the whites and blue tones complementing the background, and I also like No8 with the mysterious luminous light adding a focal point.

Interesting set, my favourite is be No 7 followed by No 1 (I stayed in the youth hostel last time I was there, nice garden with the dragon) , although the sea in No 5 has something about. As per the others I like No 3 but it looks a little soft on my screen.

Thanks for sharing

A splendid set. I think that I like 4 and 7 the best, for general appeal.

Not all 'togs' seem to have been welcome at the weekend. See this, from Whitby Gazette. I can see one Canon in the scrum. Can't be sure about the others, but I hope that Pentaxians were better behaved.

We hope to be there around September; couldn't make it this month.

Thanks for that peeps. I had a good time. Sadly badly behaved photographers have been an issue there for some years and in my opinion it's generally been the majority of the photographers up at the church

Fantastically varied set - really great stuff.

The seascape in #5 is a bit special, but I think the stream punkers shots are ace.

Thanks Tim. #5 seems to have been a bit of a slow burner. I also think it's a bit good and expected lots of good feedback but it was slow in coming, albeit a friend saying he'd have it on his wall.

Mixed in with such a varied set, see! Toss it in on its own and folk would have raved from the off

An excellent set all round. As for #5, I think its a first class landscape but it might have have been better as a standalone and not mixed in with the Goths

Excellent images

I love the one of Steampunk Simmo, I saw him early on but he was busy been snapped, I bet some togs really struggled with exposure with that costume, you seem to have handled it pretty well especially given the harsh light.
