Shim, you are going to get me shot by somebody here in the forum .
Declaring it here openly the bargain I got it for , you are going to be swamped by requests for more bargains. .

Have you got anything else wanting to get rid of? Let me know because I you are then I will consider it. You heard it from me first

Good news on that camera, it looks like a certain large company are about to buckle in order to avoid a lot of bad publicity and possible class action suite and refund everybody. I've been promised 3-4 days for mine.

shim
That's excellent news, . Makes me feel much better as you got rid of the TC to cushion the price for that camera. We are talking about the GX20 aren't we?

Amin, that's right the GX20, but I'll only believe it when I see it. We've a couple of action groups set up collecting evidence etc. Seems like the same gang were doing more or less the same last summer.

It works fine on a manual camera. But obviously it doesn't focus for you.

Because the lens cell is loose, I would have thought it would move about on a manual camera, also you would have to move the lens cell to the correct position before you put it on the camera.

Pentax do have a Caution in the manual that says:
"This adapter cannot be used as a rear converter"

What about using it on my DS with an M42 adapter and Takumar lenses. It won't auto focus I know, but it won't do any harm either, will it :

As long as it's not hunting and trying to focus it should be OK, It's just if manual focus is at all possible and it would go out of focus if the lens cell moved.

Just thought..... It can't be trying to focus because you will have switched the camera to manual so that won't be a problem. The lens cell will only move between two stops so nothing should get damaged and it can't fall out. You might struggle with the range of focus available.

Push on the lens with a cleaning cloth and you'll see how it moves. If you decide to sell it, the going rate on this forum is 10 Pounds, just put it in the Classifieds and see if there are any takers

Last night I mounted my 77mm Ltd on the 1.7 T/C, switched the camera to MF, and was able to focus on everything from my computer keyboard about 18 inches away, to the moon. I didn't try anything further away.

Let us know if you need a food parcel, Clarky. How about a dozen pairs of nice kippers?

Norwegian kippers? Good grief, man. The British Isles is home to the world's best kippers, and the best in the British Isles come from half a mile away.

If you doubt me, see this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kipper

Norwegian kippers, indeed! Sort of like German Spaghetti, or Spanish Haggis.

PS: They mate for life, and stay in pairs even when deceased.
