K-3 operates identically to your K-5. It's always useful to have consistency in the equipment we use, it makes operation more intuitive and faster.
Best regards, John

i would like to differ with john on the k3 operates identically to the k5
i went from the k5 to the k3ii and it is a totally differant piece of kit
it is well known that i hate the k5 with avengence the k3 is a totally diffrant beast
i wish i had bought the k3 instead of a k5
but if money is not the issue why not go for the k3ii

The K3 and I guess its update is slightly heavier than the K5, double card slot, microphone jack socket etc. the move towards electronic control mean a new AF mode button and one or two move arounds of functions. The top models all bring better quieter (might be the mag alloy body) longer life shutters, much better quiet sensor cleaning etc., more exposure modes and higher shutter speed, excellent bright viewfinders. The KS2 brings a flexible LCD if that's your thing, it isn't mine as I hardly use mine or video.

Weight is something I take into account more and more nowadays especially when taking a camera on holiday with me (also see Andrews post 'the very last one' ), I've recently returned from a holiday and weight wise things were pretty near the limit I would want to lug around! Ideally you need to compare such as the K3 and KS2 side by side and see which you prefer, both will give you excellent results.
