Hey, I got a new word..

It's rare to come across a word I haven't heard before, and although obvious from the context I had to look it up.

That's 62 words I know now.

Cheers

I hitched a lift in a lorry once. The driver knew 62 words, too. They all started with F.

I had a bosun on a research cruise who must be a relative of that lorry driver. I quite admire the ability to use the f-word as main, modal and auxiliary verb, adjective, noun and every other conceivable word.
He also knew another word (that was new to me): dubry
Although it also is very variable in it's use it is a bit more limited than the f-word.
Can't possibly comment on how many words he knew as I only remember hearing about a handful of others beside the two already mentioned.

Of course I also had to look up "prolixity". The German translation is, as one would expect, peripatetic (yes, I looked that one up as well): "Weitschweifigkeit" That's a whopping 17 characters opposed to the measly 9 in English. For this word, however, I find the German version quite fitting...

Hi Beginner,

Please don't take these images as the best that the K10D can do. Also, the shot was handheld at a focal length of 400mm and at iso400. It was slightly sharpened in Photo Lab with no other enhancements. The converted image is only 72dpi. If you have something taken under similar circumstances and converted to 72dpi for web please let post them so I can view them.
