Based on comments in the thread, budget and what Im picking up from else where I think Ill save a bit more money or look at second hand and aim for pentax 12 -24.... And when I know better where my interest lie or if I see cheap 2nd hand prime ebay etc 28 and or 50...I think Im less bamboozeled but I bet Im not sure

Shameless plug coming up .. my 16-45mm is for sale in the sales section and you would still have enough left for a nice manual focus 50mm f1.4
No equipment list here but thanks for taking an interest. My Flickr

Sorry for the plug Mike, (whats my commission?) but you would do no wrong buying that lens at that price, I paid 100 quid more from SRS 3 months ago and I think it is a great lens and one you will keep,

Jack.

If I didn't already have this lens I would bite his hand of for it!!!

At the possibility of being shot down, the one lens better than the 10-20mm Sigma which is sharp edge to edge and has virtually no distortion is a 14-24mm f/2.8 and is full frame. Unfortunately it is not Pentax fit.

One chooses to use the available tools to do the job, if not, compromise is the other option.

(Officially covering the Bahrain Open Golf competition in two weeks, with PENTAX kit)

K10D, looking forward to seeing some pics, one of my first jobs 30 years ago was covering a golf outing,

Jack.

Oh forgot to show this a photo from the 16-45 lens.

Cracking shot Jackitec.
With regards to the golf pics, not a problem.

This was only agreed this evening at Awali Golf Club house. The resident Pro, did not know that I was here and immediately requested that I took the job on due not having the same results since I last did the job three years ago.

Main weapons will be the 50-135mm SDM with 1.7AF TC for course work and the 16-50mm SDM for the T shots. No other photographers will be present on an official basis so this is a Pentax only event (again after three years).

Regards
