which flash for the 645nii

I don't know anything about the Pentax range of medium format cameras but I do know a bit about their flashes when used with 35mm bodies.
In old money (analogue interface) you will not beat the AF280T for versatility. It does bounce/swivel/TTL and lacks only adjustable power output (other than a (H)igh or (L)ow setting) and a zoom function. Wide and Tele diffusers are available for it.
The AF360FGZ is an excellent flash unit but lacks the swivel function. It has a retractable catchlight and wide diffuser. The head can be tilted for bounce. It can also be used in wireless mode with certain cameras (MZS, MZ6,*istD). You'll need to check suitability for your camera model. They sell for around £100 - £125 on ebay.
The AF500FTZ does almost everything but lacks the built-in catchlight and wide diffuser. It's not a wireless gun either. Sells for around £150 - £200 (powerful gun)
The AF540FGZ is my 'Holy Grail'. It is a superb gun but expensive at the moment. Available new from SRS Microsystems (if they have any)
Older guns like the AF400FTZ, AF400T, AF330FGZ might also suit your needs and can be had for a song (relatively speaking) at between £20 & £50 on ebay.

i use a metz flash unit now, but i would like to use a smaller flash unit to put on top of the 645 (less bulky). Which pentax flash would be the best solution for the 645 nii? besides that it would be nice if it could be used in the future on a digital body also...
Is for example the 360 ftz a good alternative?
