Hi,

What forum software is this forum on? , and what gallery software is it using (as it automatically fills in the exif data)

Just doing my own forum (nothing photograhy based , a car forum) and would love it to be as neatly laid out as this.

I believe it is all the work of the PU geniuses. We used to run PHPBB, but a while ago, amid much uproar, it was changed to it's current format.

AFAIK this was a custom script written by the owners (of this site and ephotozine) rather than an off-the-shelf package.

When the new layout was first introduced earlier this year it was more than a little controversial to say the least (it generated a record-breaking thread with people wanting to move back to the old style) but I agree with you - now the shock has had several months to wear off I think it's rather neat too.

It is nice. Im just about to launch a car forum and would love this layout (albeit with a different colour scheme to match the car)

phpBB is one of the easiest for general forums
You can tweak the style of phpBB fairly easily (assuming you understand PHP code!!)
Also, hosting services (like PowWeb that we use) already have "one-click" installations for phpBB and other such forums.

As stated, this forum is custom written (see www.ephotozine.com for the sister site... running on the same coding style)

Personally I like the style and features of the phpBB forums, but there are others.
