Where is the 300mm F4?

I have just paid a visit to the Pentax (Ricoh) website to find more info on the new Converter. I was surprised to find that the list of lenses no longer includes the 16-50 f2.8 DA* and the lovely 300mm f4. Are they both discontinued?
Thankfully i have both of these lenses, But i was totally gobsmacked not to find them listed!

I've just had a look at the Ricoh site and the lens list seems complete, including the ones you couldn't find:

That is great to hear! How very odd though, It appears to be an official Pentax (Ricoh) site but the only prime telephoto lenses listed were the 200 and the 560 -link
Many thanks!

I have no idea, but webmasters do sometimes leave things out. Why not point it out to them so it can be corrected?

The link refers to a direct sales department surely? Maybe they aren't showing items they may not have in stock?

Something doesn't look right about that site. I don't believe it is an official site, just a spoof made to look like it.

Note the url is: http://shop-uk.ricoh-imaging.eu so it is 'shop-uk' whoever they are. There's no contact address etc. so be careful if considering using it.

xxx.ricoh-imaging.eu is what is known as a "subdomain" -- it cannot be a "spoof" site since the domain is owned by Ricoh Imaging: i.e. http://www.ricoh-imaging.eu.

I think the prices could be a spoof - Check out the price of the DA*200 at £1,019.99 or the DA 560mm F5.6 ED AW £6,999.99. At first I thought it was in Euros
Regards
David

Retired at last - now all that time for photography - you would think: wink:

I was taken aback by the prices too, But maybe they are the manufacturers recommended prices? Who knows!

The prices at SRS are more relevant as that's where we are more likely to buy from.

Manufacturers' web shops are usually more expensive. I'm not sure why, but it's always been that way, perhaps to protect their retail suppliers?
Best regards, John
