I was planing on upgrading my K100D to a K-r early September. As I am off to Cyprus in a couple of weeks, do you think it worth upgrading early?

Cheers

If you can afford to do it now then why not.

I doubt it will be any cheaper by September and new toys are always nice

Yes go ahead, the K-r is a nice camera, give yourself a bit of time to familiarise with your new camera then when on your holidays you will be more comfortable with it and concentrate on taking pictures as opposed to trying to find your way around

I say go for it! It's an absolute bargain at under £400.

Well I have just gone and ordered a K-r from SRS. Looking forward to playing with my new toy.

How long does the battery take to charge?

I think the K100D uses four AA Batteries.

The Kr Cell will take roughly two and a half hours, depending how much charge is in the battery when you receiove it.

So much quicker at focusing than the K100D and the picture quality up the ISO range is excellent.

My 15 year old son has inherited the K100D and he is chuffed to bits.

Now! Do I just take the Sigma 18-50mm F2.8 EX on holiday or take the Tamron 18-250 as well?

If your son and K100D are going on holiday with you, he can take all the lenses you need!
Lurking is shirking.!
