What to do?

If money is tight I would stick with what you have. I wouldn't go for the 35-70 etc. as you are basically repeating what you have. I would either (a) save up for a long time for some really class glass (you'll never regret buying the DA* 50-135mm for example, a lovely lens for portraits) or (b) if you really must feed your LBA pick up some manual primes such as a 28mm or 35mm, or even something "interesting" like the Jupiter-9 85mm or the Helios 58mm. These lenses often have unusual bokeh and an interesting feel to them when used for portraits fairly wide open.

Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.

You certainly need to upgrade the Tamron to a DA 55-300, £200 in the classified, and edumads Sigma 17-70 (£170) would be a great upgrade to your kit 18-55. So yes of course you need to spend more.

Stick with what you have and save for some decent primes. Look for the Pentax-M 28mm f3.5 (or the K series version, but that's much rarer), it's a lot better than the standard f2.8 version. Also worth looking for a Pentax-A 50mm f1.7. Even at current prices you should be able to get good examples of both for about £120 the pair.
I have bought all the readily available lenses I want and can afford, now I hunt for the rare and unusual oddballs. Anything K series in other words - I have a 55mm, 120mm and 85-210mm zoom from that range, all of which are great.

Am i really needing some new lens or am i just itching to buy?
Basically i'm looking at mainly portraits and weddings, i will do other photography but i know the lenses i have will cover that for now.
What my question is, is do i need other lens. the ones i have are in my info at the bottom of my post. I'm thinking of a smc 27-80, the 35-70 that mike-p has for sale, or maybe a prime or two....maybe a 28mm. i have spent loads already getting everything i need to do portraits and weddings so budget is very tight now. Do i pick up any of these lens or do i get by with what i have and save up to get some real top notch lens? either way i will eventually go for some top end lens but my question is really do i need to spend any more right now?
