What's missing here?

Just looking at the figures on DPR wrt the most "clicked" cameras in the last five days.


Nikon D800 12.8%
Olympus OM-D E-M5 9.9%
Canon PowerShot G1 X 3.9%
Fujifilm X-Pro1 3.3%
Canon PowerShot S100 2.3%
Sony Alpha NEX-7 1.8%
Nikon D7000 1.6%
Canon EOS 600D 1.5%
Sony Alpha NEX-5N 1.4%
Nikon D5100 1.4%

Also of note is that there is only one Canon DSLR in the list.

So regardless of all of the hype over the K-01, it does not seem to be of interest to those that frequent DPR.

That's a pretty awful Canikon site that's also very slow and
got a poorly designed user interface. Why any Pentaxian
would go there I can't imagine. Just look at how many K-01
posts there have been on the US forum plus the other sites
mostly linked from Ricehighs site.

You seem to get a kick out of posting anything negative you
can find about Pentax. You might as well not bother because
I don't think anyone else is

It's odd how different people draw different conclusions from information.

OK Gary there seems to be a bit of confusion
I remember someone posting something about lens tests on that
site and the Canon ones were tweaked to show them in a better
light The site's now owned by Amazon so depending on
who's actually managing it there might be less bias. It's
still a really horrible slow interface and links to it aren't
allowed on the Pentax US forum

Depressing Review has never been Pentax friendly. It used to be run by someone who was notorious for giving Pentax a terrible review no matter what - even when his tests proved otherwise in comparisons Pentax always came out worst in his conclusions.

I have no idea what it is like nowadays. I have long since given up on it.

I've always consulted dpreview on prospective camera purchases (among other sources of course), and always ended up getting/remaining with Pentax, so they can't be that biased. The istDL2 was 'recommended' and I remember it's viewfinder and build quality being praised. The K200D was 'highly recommended if you shoot RAW' and the K7 was 'highly recommended' - I quote

I mean, that sounds really positive to me! It had me sold anyway...

I think the Pentax USA forum was formed due a fallout with DP

They did the right thing - DP forums are horrible to use, PF is much better!

straight into the negative:

BAH!!

K10D owns more than one brand, but is far from being anti-Pentax. I suspect if there were a 135-format Pentax and one or two longer lenses, he might give up his blunderbuss (I mean his cannon) entirely.
