What old flash unit?

Well,Clarky,I make you just about right,however I'd like to thank all those who took the time to post their thoughts.I never realized a seemingly straight forward subject could reveal such strong opinions.Nevertheless I have decided perhaps to buy a new Pentax(AF-360,maybe)or a compatible Metz.

The AF200 works ok in the K-M using aperture priority decide - what ISO you want, then work out the aperture on the scale on the back of the camera. True - it isn't TTL but I had mine in my camera bag before I bought the K-M!

Hi,I'm very new to digital photography and I've never used a flash of any kind.I'm looking for a cheapish flash for my K200d to get me started and I came across a Pentax AF200s on Ebay.Would this old unit be compatible for the 200?Is there any chance that it could damage the camera?Have you guys any advice to offer as to what would be a half decent flash for as keen beginner?Thanks in anticipation
