NOOOOO DON'T TOUCH THE SWITCH!!!!!!
It will activate "The Device"!!!!!
ahem, sorry, wrong switch. That one is associated with the Power Zoom system. The only modern camera which supports this even slightly is the K10D, and that is only because it uses the same power contacts as the SDM system. Ignore it.

The K100D Super should as it has the contacts, not that there is much reason to upgrade froma 110 or 100.

I had a couple of power zoom lenses with my first SLR (a Z50p) and never really found a use for any of the power zoom features (image size tracking etc).

What you may not know is that the zoom ring slides backward and forward to engage/disengage power zoom mode. I found it accidentally when I bought my 28-105mm lens.
I think only the Z1 and Z1-P cameras used the switch you mention.
Yep found that cheers hood came this morning pics seem even better

There is a Z1 (or Z1-P) with this exact lens available here in Leeds (£80). Was sorely tempted to get it before I had my 50-200 as I was hoping to skip the cheaper DAs and save for the DA*. Plus I would have had an AF 35mm body as well
