Never heard of the problem with the K-r and your photo looks
like just a dirty sensor. Should clean off easily if that's
the case.
Any that you have taken with the problem can usually be
removed when editing.

Thanks for so fast response. I was doing this "dust checking" on the sensor good few times and picture that camera taking looks fine(no marks on this white screen). Using this option in my camra "dust removal" did't help at all.
Clean with? dust air blower? or do i need something better
sorry for bothering you

arctic butterfly is probably the most preferred tool for getting the dust off your sensor.

but will not work if it is a bit moist/sticky you will need a sensor swab..srs sell them

What do youse think guys? Doesn't look like a stain based on the fact there is no halo. Although it gets fainter, I still can pick this out down to F5.0 but is more prominent as the aperture closes. It's definiately sensor as I see it across lens

Yep, it's just a normal stain and you will get more of those so don't worry.

My third one seems fine (touch wood).

If it's an inherent manufacturing defect, it should be covered for up to 6 years under European law.
I think Pentax are going to be replacing these for years to come.
Is it really Pentax's fault though, or Sony's, the sensor manufacturer?
Are there other cameras using the same sensor from other makers?
Best regards
