What bright wide for ist DS pentax?

Hello all.

I'm photographer from 20 years ago, i work with medium format, and i
shoot in 4X5 B&W for my personal work.
I've a Pentax LX with 4 lenses too.

Now i'm planning to buy a ist DS. The point is that my widest lens is a
28/2.8, so i need to buy a widest one for this body ( and with large f),
so the question:

My logic sais to me that in 2 o 3 years pentax will come with a full
35mm CCD, so my new lens need's to cover the 35mm format not only the
CCD, cause i think to keep it with me.

I've see on the net a prime pentax A 20/2.8, and some zooms Sigma
18-50 f2.8 EX D, and Tokina 20-35 f-2.8 ATX Pro AF.
Somebody has tried one of these, or can suggest me another one?

Any advice is apreciated, it will be my first dsrl.

With so much investment going into the production of digital lenses that only cover the APS-C sized sensors, I don't think 35mm format CCDs will happen, not in general anyway. The format size seems to be set at around 22x15mm and the quality within those boundaries may well steadily improve.

As for a bright wide angle, the 20mm unfortunately ends up as a 30mm equivalent, not much of a wide angle.

The new 12-24mm zoom looks more appropriate, but also Pentax make a 14mm and perhaps that would be more suitable for you?

May be manufacturers stays with APS-C sized sensors, and they jump to "digital medium format".

Yes you are wright, 30 is not too much.

I've try to find the price of the 12-24 but it's not listed yet, the focal distances seems very good, and maybe i can say: ok, let's go with f/4, and increase the gain on camera......

there's a 14mm 2.8 which will give you a very wide angle, kind of like 35mm on 645 or 20mm in 35mm.
