To display them here you need to click through to each image on Flickr, then click 'Share this', 'Grab the HTML', click 'BBCode' and choose a size, then copy and paste the code here. Here's the first two as examples (these are using 640 as the size, you may prefer to use 1024):

I think I like 098 the best, nice purple colour and the people on the pier add some interest. Pity it hasn't got the nice dynamic sky from 105 though

I know what you mean about the set of 8 pier shots. It looks like it should be a cracking shot - but it's not for some reason.
Now when we come to the last two that Gareth posted for you then it was an immediate Yes ! And for me it is the first of those - not as detailed or sharp as the 2nd but there is more space in front of the pier in the first shot whereas the second looks rather cramped. Better clouds in the first one too.
The best shot is the gannets though - love it.

Thanks for your feedback and help posting them - and sorry for the confusion about which photos - yes, the pier (wharf) shots were the ones I was most interested in, but it is nice to get feedback on any shots
I recently read that you should look hard before deleting bad ones so that you don't make the same mistake again so thought it would be a useful exercise.
Re the gannets, they are packed in incredibly close together so it is hard to get clean shots of e.g. just two of them. Also, most of those are not cropped at all - just shot at 300mm and very close, so unfortunately my options are now limited. Next time! The one in question, however, I did crop. The original shot is below.

I felt that I didn't manage to nail what was quite a good subject. It was getting dark so I just had to move around and shoot in gradually fading light. The last two (actually the same shot but one is cropped) are my personal favourites, though I can't say which crop I prefer. But the other six seem not right for some reason.
I used an ND8 on many of them.
Thanks very much for your thoughts.
Spencer
